The assistant and automation

Base has one assistant and it shows up in several places. Ask Base is the chat beside every page, where you give it plans to read, ask about the screen you are on and tell it what to do. Automations are the things it and the system do without being asked, with a library to switch them on, a view of what is running and a log of what fired; Event subscriptions is the raw wiring beneath them. AI memory is where it asks before remembering how you work. Scratchpads are the report pages it builds when you ask it to analyse something. Comms is every email and text, by person, filed to the job, with the assistant's draft replies waiting for your approval. Through all of it one rule holds: the assistant proposes and drafts on its own; approving, certifying, sending and paying are a person's click, or a person's own ask in a live chat.

This section's pages are listed on the right. Each follows the same shape: what it is, before you start, how to, what happens on its own, and things that surprise people.
