Workshop

Making the thing: the production board and manufacturing inside a job.

Workshop

This section is for the people who make what the estimate sold: the joinery shop, the frame shop, the person who packs the truck. It covers two screens.

Manufacturing lives inside a job. It is where a joinery unit goes from a drawing somebody approves to a crate somebody delivers: the production board, the shop drawings and their approval, the bill of materials and the purchase orders raised from it, the cut lists, delivery and install. Designing the unit in 3D happens on the job's Designs page under Estimating; Manufacturing picks up once there is something to build.

Workshop sits above every job. It lists every unit a project manager has released to the shop, across the whole company, so the foreman can see the week's work in one place without opening each job.

Both screens are module-gated. An admin turns on Manufacturing (for the page inside a job), Workshop (for the company-wide board) and Design (for the 3D designer the units come from) under Settings → Team modules.
