A worker's page

One person's hours by week and job, their tickets, and the rate they cost from each date.

A worker's page

What it is

Every person on the Crew Roster has their own page: their hours over the last 12 weeks, week by week and job by job, their recent shifts, the jobs they have worked, their tickets and when they expire, and — for people allowed to see pay — the rate they cost and how it has changed over time. It is where you answer "what has this person been doing, and what do they cost us?".

Before you start

  • You need the Crew module. Seeing and changing rates needs Crew pay rates; changing a rate someone already has needs an admin.
  • Rate history needs the 2026-10 labour update applied to your account (Base support does this).

How to

Open a worker's page

On the Crew Roster, click a person's name. From Timesheets → Week, click a person and press Open … 's page.

Set their trade

Click the trade under their name (or Set trade), type it — for example Carpenter — and press Save. Their hours on a job cost to the budget line with the same trade, unless a shift names another line.

Read their weeks

Hours by week has one bar per week, coloured by job, newest at the top. Hover a bar to see the jobs in it. Jobs worked lists the jobs with their hours in the period, in the same colours.

Change their rate from a date

  1. Under Rate history, press Change rate.
  2. Set From — today, a past date for a back-dated raise, or a future date for one that starts later.
  3. Enter the Pay rate (Base adds your on-costs) or a Cost rate (what they cost you per hour, all in). Optionally change their employment type and add a note.
  4. Press Save rate.

The first change also records the rate they were on before, so earlier weeks keep it.

What happens on its own

  • Hours are costed at the rate in force on the day worked: a raise from 1 July does not touch June.
  • A change dated today or earlier becomes their current rate on the Crew Roster; a future one waits for its date.
  • Every rate change is recorded in the key-details log with who made it.

Things that surprise people

  • Hours already posted to a job are never repriced, even by a back-dated change. Only hours not yet posted pick up the new rate.
  • Without the Crew pay rates permission the page shows hours and tickets only; the rate, the costs and the history are hidden.
  • A ticket turns amber 30 days before it expires and red once it has.
